About this project
be (working name: betrothy) is a wedding platform with one simple goal: make weddings cheaper and easier so more couples can have one. It brings couples, planners, vendors, and guests into one place, so you don't have to use a dozen separate apps, hire an expensive planner, or spend a year on logistics.
be has built-in design tools for the parts of a wedding most people care about. You can design your ring in a 3D editor, your dress or suit in the Dress studio, and your song in the Music studio. Each one runs in the browser, so you can try things and change your mind before spending money on anything.
I worked on be as an AI engineer. I helped build the creative tools, the social graph (how people find and connect with each other), and the AI helpers that match couples with vendors and suggest ideas. The frontend is Next.js 15 with React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Radix UI. The backend is FastAPI with SQLAlchemy and JWT auth, with PostgreSQL 16 running in Docker. The 3D studios use Three.js, and the music studio has a small custom audio player.
